Funny how things change
This afternoon I had an appointment and was done a little early. As I neared Long Beach on the congested freeway, I realized that I had an hour before I needed to pick AJ up, and pondered what I could do (alone).
I thought about going to my second favorite place to shop: Buffalo Exchange -where they have cool used clothing for cheap- Then my next thought "You don't need anything" (Thanks mom for ingraining this concept into my head)
I thought about picking up my dry cleaning: Nope. Did not feel like it.
Hmmmm, how about going to Trader Joe's, since I have so little "dinner type" food for me? Nah. I like to go with Aidan so he can have a balloon. He squeals with delight when they blow it up in front of him.
I need quarters for laundry, and I could get off at a different exit on the freeway and stop at a bank. Yuck.
Pedicure? There is one on the way to his school. Nope.
Target? My MOST FAVORITE store in the whole wide world? Nah, Just spent 2 bills there on Sunday and the only thing I still need is my haircolor (which they were out of). Can't justify it.
A Nap! Yes! I could catch up on my perpetual sleep deprivation! No, not enough time.
The car veered off the exit towards Aidan's school.
We drove home, him sucking on the lollypop I had saved for him. We walked into the house, just as he said "cute top Mommy"
It is so nice to come home early.
